After nearly 60 years in business, The North Face recommitted to “never stop exploring” and sought to reset, elevate and curate the global brand. VF leader Tim Hamilton tapped LOTKA&Co. to rebuild the global product team and take TNF from #3 to #1 at VF. LOTKA&Co. developed a talent + strategy roadmap to both elevate the brand and align diversity and inclusion needs throughout the team build. In the first 18 months, LOTKA&Co. . secured over 40 new hires, from VP to Director to mid level roles in global product, design, innovation and merchandising and supported relocation from Alameda, CA to Denver, CO. LOTKA&Co. also supported unique collaborations and partnerships including: Alex Honnold in custom The North Face x Devon Scott Tuxedo at the Oscars. Free Solo Wins Best Documentary Film. Global Collaboration with Maison Margiela MM6 + The North Face Relaunched The North Face Black Series, Paris Fashion Week 2020 As a VF thought partner, LOTKA&Co. plays an ongoing role supporting the VF group on team building and elevating their global talent mission for a better future. Today, TNF is not only the financial powerhouse of VF but also the blueprint for success in the VF portfolio.

Reformation CEO Hali Borenstein tapped LOTKA&Co. to help steward the rapidly growing DTC brand towards another round of investment while also investing in culture throughout the team and growing organization. LOTKA&Co. delivered executive search across Finance (VP FP&A), HR, and P&C (VP, TA), and supported the CCO in establishing their first ever in-house brand studio (Sr. Design Director, Senior Art Director, Director Creative Services, Art Director, Designers). We lead this work with a critical lens towards the sizable equity gaps in their organization.This was meaningful work for the sustainably focused DTC brand, further bolstering their commitment to DE&I and culture as they chart the next horizon of growth globally.

Engaged by the President John Lacy and the SVP Transformation Josee Laroque, LOTKA&Co. was brought on to support a comprehensive initiative to help Burton “reimagine merchandising” and look towards the future. With clear equity goals, Burton made our partnership and commitment to talent seamless. A thoughtful approach requires a thoughtful partnership and we aligned to identify key leadership who could steward this important organizational shift. LOTKA&Co. continues work as a thought partner to the senior leaders and has forged a partnership with the CHILL Foundation, Burton’s youth development program providing better access to board sports globally.
